Lil Ol' Montana

The first ever game I developed during a summer class in UCLA. I came up with this storyline of a chain grocery store in a rural area from my trip to Montana. There were very few stores in the small towns and the ones where a chain of some sort could be found looked very out of place and were extremely busy. This left all the local stores quite empty; making me wonder how the chain store effected local businesses. Tile mapping for top-down was very new to me, so I struggled with implementing the borders and ground of the dungeon. I created all the art using Aseprite and was inspired by Stardew Valley's style.
